- 9 with DH, 9 without DH, 10 with EH & no DH, or 10 with a DH are permitted
- Starting pitcher can DH for himself and remain in DH spot after he is taken out (Ohtani rule)
- Once he enters the field anywhere besides DH/pitcher, the DH is eliminated
- Substitutions
- Free defensive substitutions for all potential 9-10 players unless DH present in a 10-player lineup
- Courtesy runners ONLY for the catcher
- No re-entries
- Extra Inning Rules
- 1 extra inning
- After that, it is a tie
- No California rules
- Run Rule
- 12 after 5
